The Fluency Portal Approach

The Health Check is available to be completed via the Fluency Portal as an online course. You can complete the course at any time and at your own pace. The online course will guide the user through the Productivity Journey Health Check assessment.

Using the answers provided by the user, a report will be generated showing what the user’s business has already achieved in the Nine Phases of Productivity.

How Will Risks Be Mitigated?

Anyone can go through and read the Tutorial Series on Fluency Portal, making it virtually available to you and your colleagues, anytime, anywhere. This means completing the self-assessment within a timeframe and pace that you are comfortable with.

The report generated online also allows you to know exactly what your business has already achieved in the Nine Phases of Productivity. This means you can start planning, clearing prerequisites and implementing changes at the right stage and phase of productivity.

Also, if you want to get a feel for what PAVE is, or you just want to trial it in a non-key area of your business, then there is less risk to the business from using the Tutorial Series alone.

Clearing Prerequisites

If you would like to clear the prerequisites using internal staff resources, the Tutorial Series is the best option to provide education on how to do that. The Tutorial Series allows a business to take a do-it-yourself approach. However, we would suggest that you should only choose this approach if your business has skill and experience in Phase 5 (Workflow) and Phase 6 (Workflow Automation) of Productivity.

If you don’t have someone internally who’s comfortable with the skills necessary for configuring the processes in Phase 5 and Phase 6, the do it yourself option is not recommended as you will struggle to implement the concepts correctly.

Who Will Do the Implementation?

The Tutorial Series contains lessons on PAVE as well as workflow productivity and change management. These courses will support management and key workers in implementing changes.

Anyone can go through and read the Tutorial Series, but if you want to implement changes using the Tutorial Series, then it is highly recommended to have internal skill and previous change management experience on top of that.

Disadvantages of a DIY Reliance on the Tutorial Series

Doing it alone through the Tutorial Series will take longer than if you were to have a WSP guide you.

You are more likely to make mistakes and it will take you longer to work out what to do.

While there is less upfront cost to complete the Tutorial Series on your own, there is often a cost incurred from not spending money.

For example, you may incur costs due to correcting mistakes or from unsuccessful trial-and-error experiments.

The Tutorial Series will provide you with a basic understanding of the paradigm shifts, behaviour changes, and productivity software features but does not make you an expert.

Though you may learn the concepts, you will still have to learn how to apply them to your own business.
